The origin of the name Igoudamène:

The Ksar Igoudamène is erected at the bottom of the High Atlas, in a surrounding of extraordinary beauty. It is inhabited by Berbers Ait Merghad with nomad roots, part of whom invaded the oasis of Ferkla in the 19.th century. "Igoudamène" is the plural of "Agoudim", which means watchtower.
